Rose B. Simpson: LEXICON
Rose B. Simpson reimagines the relationship between Pueblo pottery traditions and American car culture in this groundbreaking exhibition. Featuring two meticulously customized vehicles—a 1985 Chevy El Camino adorned with black-on-black Tewa designs and a vibrant 1964 Buick Riviera—Simpson creates a striking visual dialogue between ancestral artistic practices and contemporary creativity. Set within an expansive geometric installation that evokes the Southwest landscape, these works establish a powerful new vocabulary for expressing cultural identity and artistic continuity, transforming the museum space into an immersive celebration of Native American heritage.
