Calling All Cats!

Multidisciplinary artist Dorian Reid brings her distinctive vision to the Museum of the African Diaspora with "Calling All Cats!"—an immersive installation exploring the intersection of civil rights, animal welfare, and community activism. Drawing inspiration from her family's Black Panther legacy, Reid presents ceramic sculptures, printed works, flags, and performance pieces that champion the "Black Cat Revolution," a movement she founded to combat superstition and raise awareness for feline welfare and social justice. Visitors will experience an interactive environment where Reid leads participants in reimagined protest songs and collective action, transforming the gallery into a space for community connection and liberation.
