The Things We Use to Make the Things We Must
Leah Rosenberg's immersive installation transforms everyday artist materials into a meditation on creativity and perception. Drawing from SFMOMA's archival Artist Materials Collection, the exhibition features an explosion of color coding across the walls alongside displays that reveal the hidden significance behind each hue. By opening her studio process to visitors, Rosenberg demonstrates how familiar objects—pencils, tape, tennis balls—can be reimagined as something altogether extraordinary. This show celebrates the artist's multidisciplinary exploration of color while inviting audiences to discover how the ordinary materials surrounding us might spark new emotional and sensory experiences.
